Quick Dishes to Cook on a Lazy Summer Sunday

Unfortunately, life isn’t that gracious. Sooner or later, you will feel hungry and you will have two choices- go out or cook something.

Well, thankfully there are dishes that are much easier and quicker to make than getting ready to go out. These are the dishes you will enjoy making as much as you will enjoy eating. So, let’s not ruin the Sunday wasting it in the kitchen or out on a driveway. Pamper yourself and your family with these three delicious quick fixes.

Italian Speedy Beef Stew

When it comes to food that is easy to cook, stews are simply incomparable. Your own stew recipe might require some effort but this one is as simple as it can get. Most importantly, it is a Thai stew with a unique Italian twist.

What You Need

Ingredients include:

  • Stir fried beef strips – 300 gm
  • Chopped tomatoes – 400 gm
  • Sliced onion – 1
  • Garlic clove – 1
  • Chopped sprig rosemary
  • Pitted olives
  • Sliced yellow pepper
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • salt

What You Do

Simply cook onion and garlic in olive oil until they turn golden. Toss beef strips pepper, tomatoes, and rosemary, salt, and a bit of boiling water. Bring to boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the mean is properly cooked. Add olives and serve with your favourite side.

Quick Creamy Turkey Pasta

White meat is much easier and quicker to cook as compared to beef or ham. And when it comes to pasta, boiling the pasta is pretty much the longest task involved. Let’s get to the recipe for this creamy delight.

What You Need  

  • Orecchiette – 1 pack
  • Ground turkey – 1 pound
  • Egg yolks – 2
  • Chopped garlic – 2 cloves
  • Crème fraîche – 3 tbsp
  • Basil leaves
  • Grated parmesan
  • Lemon juice – 1
  • Salt

What You Do

Cook pasta as you do. Meanwhile, fry ground turkey in olive oil and garlic. When golden brown, add lemon juice, egg yolk, crème, basil, salt, and a handful of parmesan.  Add water just enough to make a creamy sauce while you mix all the ingredients. Now add cooked pasta. Mix and serve with grated parmesan on top.

Quick and Curry

Curries don’t always have to be complicated. This one is easy to make and delicious to eat. Let’s see how you can cook it quickly.

What Do You Need

  • Sliced rotisserie chicken meat
  • Sliced onion – 1
  • Diced tomatoes – 400 gm
  • Curry powder – 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt – ½ cup
  • Cream – ¾ cup
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil

What Do You Do

Cook onion in olive oil till golden brown. Add curry powder, yogurt, cream and simmer for 3 minutes. Add salt, pepper. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Now serve with plain boiled rice and enjoy a typical Indian curry.
