ในการนำไฟล์ MP3 มาทำ podcast ผู้เขียนแปลงไฟล์ให้มีขนาดเล็กลง โดยใช้โปรแกรม iTunes

ขั้นตอน

1. import ไฟล์ที่ต้องการเข้ามาก่อน
   (File > Import…)
2. กำหนดรูปแบบไฟล์ที่จะนำเข้าเป็น MP3 ตามคุณลักษณะที่ต้องการ
   Edit > Preferences… เลือกแท็ป Advanced > Importing เลือก Import Using เป็น MP3 Encoder และ Setting เป็น Custom…
   สำหรับ podcast ‘เสียดาย…คนตายไม่ได้อ่าน’ ผู้เขียนเลือกค่าต่างๆ ดังนี้:
   Stereo Bit Rate: 64 kbps
   Sample Rate: 22.050 kHz
   Channels: Mono
3. เลือกคำสั่ง Advanced > Convert Selection to MP3
   iTunes จะแปลงไฟล์เป็น MP3 ตามลักษณะที่ต้องการ
